Greetings, A long long time after i had a LC250 when i was 17 I've bought myself another. An impulse buy from a mate who had started doing a resto a few years ago and got fed up and he'd left it under a cover. Just trying to figure out whether to put it back together as std or hybrid it. Its a 83 250LC in blue and white with 8.8k on it Col

Welcome to the forum , I've found everyone really helpful.
As as to whether restore or go down the hybrid route is in my view your own taste - everyone has an opinion but before you decide have a look at some of the quality bikes on here - hopefully it wil provide some inspiration!

Welcome to the forum as mrn says its really down to what your tastes are. personalty i like hybrids and would not put my time in to a standard bike. however if its a UK bike matching numbers and all that i can understand why you may consider keeping it standard if its mainly there all ready .

Thanks for the welcome guys. It would have been an easier decision if it wasn't a totally std local matching no. low milage bike Anyway the research goes on. Thoughts are just now to do something hybrid but nothing that couldn't be reversed in future if need be. Modern back and front and std in the middle Col

Hi Col, a warm welcome to the forum, I think Matt (Yogi), has it spot on- keep your options open. Good luck with the restoration.

Hello and welcome
I bought my bike, a low mileage local bike that had been partially built but had been converted to 350, I just planned to freshen it up and complete it but now have decided to rebuild it a standard 250 and as the addiction has a hold of me I'm also in the collecting stage to build a hybrid as one LC just isn't enough...
Whatever you do I reckon you'll spend double to treble what you want. Lol!
Cheers
JTP
