Hi,
I thought last weekends run down the coast would probably be the last run of the year on the bike due to the weather, but the weather has been great all week, and was nice again today, so I pulled my LC out and headed down the coast again this afternoon, in the sunshine.
I didnt have too much petrol in it, so decided to go on one of my favourite runs, over the hill and down to Troon harbour.
I often take the bike a run round the town first to heat it up before heading anywhere. I did my lap round the one way system and was going round the roundabout at the bottom of the town when I saw a white/blue LC leaving the roundabout a few cars in front of me.
I nipped up the middle of the cars and pulled up next to a very nice standard white and blue 250 LC at the traffic lights.
I gave the bloke the thumbs up and we drove through the lights and stopped at the side of the road.
It turns out he stays in the same town as me, and recently sold his Fireblade and bought a very nice matching numbers 250 LC.
We chatted for a while, and he told me that he recently had a gearbox full of ice cream on his LC, so bought the seals and "O" ring etc to repair it from Norbo.
I told him I would put the pics up on here tonight, so if you see this Stevie, did your pics come out any better than mine? as a few of the ones I took were into the sun, and a bit shite !
I was heading home after standing chatting for a while, but ended up going to Troon as planned.
I see they have not washed the grafitti off under the bridge for a while, so went and took some more pics there too, before heading for a pleasant afternoon down at the coast in the sunshine again, I even managed to get a picture of the grey seals that frequent Troon harbour.
The forecast looks ok for next week too, so mabey get a few more miles on my bike before the frost comes and the salt goes down.
Cheers,
Steven.
