Ok gents,
I am running into issue locating a single soul is willing or has the capability to assist me in figuring out if I can add the auto oiler feed nipples. The bike will be ridded on the roads and I cannot reasonable rely on premixing on he fly. If it is important, I reside in California (USA) and emissions are a bear to get around. This is a previously registered bike so I am not concerned with registration licensing.
Brand new set of Kieihin PWK-QAS 36mm carbs (In hand begging for attention) - Part #016-167
1) How do I determine if and where the oiler feed nipplease are to be modded in. See images (if you can/could/will point to where they "should be drilled tapped in) If this can be done, has anyone done it with this same carb set and any instructions will help. I did see that a member did a PWK project to add the nipples, but my carbs look different (different sub-model??)
2) In Lieu of injecting via the carbs, is is feasible to add an injector into the intake boot where the fuel has already been mixed for air/fuel and then combine the oil as it is slurped into the intake.
Thank you. Dennis

I too have considered fitting the injector to the carb rubber
Got injectors in the pwk''s but a pain when cars are coming on and off for jetting.
Already got a spigot in one carb rubber for the vacuum line so another would not be a problem to fit.
Scottoiler do a bolt through spigot for the rubber.
Interested on any ideas on this or negatives

Drill and tap some alloy spacers? Better than tapping into the rubber inlets I would think.

PWK's can be rotated in their Rubbers to access main jets.. should you want to :-) Pull the oil nipples from a crapped out pair of Mikunis..everybody has a pair or two of those laying about somewhere. Drill the 3mm hole insert nipple with a smear of JB Weld.. job done. Might not be ideal to place the oil dribbler where it sprays it's oil all over the slide. Erm isn't 36 mm a wee bit Big/overkill for street uses? Besides how are you going to clear the Clutch actuator?

Typically wow, that 48" to 52 " hull looks so real.....small chop, change course, flip, splash.....Garsh dagnit. Swim a good hundred yards out and back. Drain everything, Radio check (Dry out Install new condom on the receiver (use rice and heat for drying)..... pour alcohol through out the engine, Dry it. Warm and it dry out in the engine compartment of the car, oil the cyl and run it till it implodes. rebuild, run, swim and repeat. I may have to get my creative hat on and figure out the clearance issue. Back in the last 80's when I ran 36's in club races ( as gent ran 38's with customer intake and fabbbed tank) , I was able to get a way with some creative angles (as long as they are smooth, have adequate air pressure for atomization and the distance inst terribly long, the can perform exceedingly well (With UNI PODS (I goot a 1 season sponsorship and and half season contingency as did my buddy with GSXR750. The UNIS versus the K&N pods were far better at airflow. Photo promised when completed. Is it weird that I found a break master in a dark bag hidden in my tool box for 22+years.......and I needed one? Best, Dennis

Hi Dennis If you have a look on the RD/RZ Forum there is a great piece by Whymee and nikfubar with photos which explains most aspects of this . If you search for 28mm PWK tutorial it will come up . Slightly different carbs but same principal .

Thank you all for you help. I located a shop in snow mobile country here in the north east USA. I completely blocked that segment from my over filled brain. Parts/labor/shipping included $50.00. Done deal. Out they go.
Regarding the 36mm carbies being too much for street riding. I don't think it will be an issue with proper jetting and a lust for speed. I tend to ride on the spirited side of the speedlimits and spend lots of time in the upper RPM range (I ride my FZ8 much like a 2T in the upper RPM range more often than not 7.5 - 9.5 is my happy place).
Here is a sneek peek into my daily commute. (FYI - the "illegal passes"...most of the drivers had waved me past - this is common, lane splitting is legal)
I never got around to editing down the video so advance as you want. This is on my FZ8 while testing a new camera mount system. Living in Southern California, we have canyon after canyon and I have been tearing through these areas since I had a minibike, mopeds (well before legal age) a Vespa P200E back in highschool, then 2 RZ's, a GPZ550 a FZ600, back to an RZ (on the track) a few GSXR's (track) and now the FZ8.
The RZ project is sitting in a nice warm room, boxes and boxes are stacking up. I am awaiting 15 critical parts and then the frame modification starts, dry assembly and then a tear down for paint, detailing and final assembly. Should be done by Christmas.
Best,
Dennis

Looks very similar to the ride from Pontefract to Batley. Apart from absolutely all of it.
