I thought I'd share some pictures of my latest screen refurb that I've just finished, I picked up a couple of screens a while back and set about getting rid of the scratches, unfortunately where I had masked up the black edge area to save it from being polished out came off in pieces when I removed the tape that had been covering it Turns out it's a transfer that they originally used for the black area and the letters. So I decided to mask up the opposite side and give the once black area a clean up too. I then got some new transfers made up - White on clear and put them in place. Next was another clean, mask the rest of the screen and respray the black. What do you recon? I'm pleased with the finish myself. If anyone fancies giving it ago themselves I have a few sets of these transfers available that comes with all the different models 1GE, 47X and 57V as well as the A-05161.

I use Farecla G3 paste initially then their Scratch remover which is a bit finer compound and final compound sometimes is Xerapol plastic polish, afterwards any and every polish. 👌

'Make do and mend' just doesn't seem to aptly sum up or reward your hard work.. Lovely.
