Asked on FB page also but know there's people on here don't use it, overheated and shat itself but was cold coming out of breather at rear, where do I start please? I have removed the clutch a couple of times and not changed the seals, probably makes a difference.

You need to check the o ring and impeller seal
Either way will be fun getting all that sh1t out the engine

Yes, the coolant has gone into the gearbox oil, converted it to sludge/cream and then the excess has come out the rear engine breather.
Also, check the water pump impellor shaft for wear, as the seal may have worn a groove in it.
Just empty out as much as you can, then do a few short oil changes after 50 to 100 miles. Maybe a perfect time to try the cheap GL4 gearbox oil from Wilkinsons.

I have removed the clutch a couple of times and not changed the seals, probably makes a difference. It overheated because near enough all of the coolant had ended up in the gearbox - the overheating didn't cause it to happen but was the result of the impeller shaft seal failing I would think. You should be able to clean most of the emulsified oil out once you get the clutch side casing off and I would strip the clutch and give all the plates a good clean while you had it in bits too. A new impeller, bearing and seal will cost £65 and is easy to fit. Flushing oil or the oil on special offer from Wilkinsons as previously mentioned will soon clean the rest of it out from your gearbox once you've got it back together and running.

Impeller broke fitted the alloy updated impeller with all new seals and gaskets and bearing. Flushed out the clutch side, put back together last night, ran out of time for a run. Will be out tonight then flush oil again.

That's the problem with living close to Norbo, £71.50 that the other half won't be knowing about...

Suggest pouring a gallon or So of Diesel fuel thru the transbox. In several fills and dumps. Riding a few meters on each fill. Water damage on bearings is subtle and serious. No place to mess about with :-)

Up and running again did 10 miles tonight, all the gremlins have now gone, albeit a little stutter between 4-5k but I can live with that. Will do another run then change oil.
