I Have fitted A Few Of The Power Dynamo Ones With The Charging System & Lightweight Flywheel . Pretty Easy to Fit On a Lc Everything You Need In The Kit Coil/CDI Rectifier Etc . Bit Trickier On A Valve I Then Fit An Ignitech As Well & Use A Std Coil The ignitech then Sorts The The Ignition & Powervalves . Anyone Building A Non Std/Special I Would Go This Way Every Time .. . .

Thanks for the info, was going for one on an Athena build, can you PM me info too? Also got a choice between an Ignitech and a Zeel, bought both a long time ago, any more suggestion on which one and the reason why?

Best reason (from years ago tho) Is that the Ignitech Gizmo Could use a ..Very Small Light.. Rotor/stator assly. Similar in size /mass to a TZ one. Beyond that Personally Can't see the point in paying large for a slightly reduced Mass Rotor. Unless a dedicated Race Engine.. with constant gear changes being the norm. Flywheel effect ain't a bad thing on a street engine. Out of simple curiousity: What does that thing Weigh and at What price?

They have several benefits and I am going to be testing one out very shortly to see exactly what effect it has on the engine power/torque etc, I am expecting the engine to spin up faster, but lose a little bit of torque, but one of the big benefits will be the vastly reduced load on the left hand crank web and bearings, it should reduce web spread, the other thing is that it produces more power from the dynamo than a stock LC and of course all of the electrics/electronics are brand new, not 30+ yrs old
the kit is easy to fit and coupled with the ignitech works really well, not tried to couple one up with a zeel, so can only comment on them with the ignitech at the moment
Certainly worth it in my opinion given that if you have an old LC stator fully rewound and have the pickup replaced as well then its the neck end of £200 now, so for another £100 you get new coils, cdi, rectifier, stator and flywheel, not bad if you ask me

Yes that was my thinking, already bought a stator, claimed to be good, found wires broken etc that was £45 down the drain, then a rewind £150 ish, just thinking all this is brand new, and hopefully reliable for a good few years. Not to familiar abot the lightened flywheel, but my money will be spent on this set-up when the time comes, will be very interested in your tests, but think I've already made my mind up Got to decide whether I use a Zeel or the Ignitech, have both, but the latter looks more popular now.
