Ok I know that lc2 forks are a decent upgrade for a 4lo and that you need the lc2 yokes, are the spindle sizes the same? Or do you need a lc2 spindle then the wheel bearings changed to match internal diameter? Ta

Did that ages ago (now back to original!) - I seem to remember the wheel drops right in with the original spindle. The mudguard needs spacers if you are using the original LC one.
If I'm talking toss, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me.

The brake line holders are different too, so you need the LC2/31K ones. Spindle is the same. :-)

Decent upgrade in that being thicker those don't bend/flex with braking. Note that the springs are still wayy too soft. So the spring coils need cutting ~3" off (rate increase) or replacement to stiffen the action up to decent feel. Beyond that it's a dead simple install and for all intents and purposes an almost invisible 'upgrade'.
G 'luck

When I ran LC2 forks in mine 'way back when', the consensus at the time was to put 5 2p coins on top of each spring and run them without air. I'm no expert, but it felt OK to me.

I had Hagon springs in mine with 8 x 2p coins (2mm thick each) Seemed okay.
I have since had some upgraded ones made which are 10% stronger again and still have 8 x 2p coins in each one. Not putting any air in them.

Just been thinking about cleaning up my LC2 forks and popping them back in - must stop reading forums!
