Stripped barrels off sent up too Mick abbey meanwhile been looking at the Pistons there 0.25 so I've never changed the rings since I've owned it spoke with Mick & he advised to put a new set in , so I've now got the barrels back & got my new 0.25 rings So how do I check there ok in the bores as I don't want too fook them up Any advice on this would be great Cheers Pete

Push the rings up square in the bore from the bottom with the piston, (rings fitted from the top) 10mm down from the top will be fine. Use a diamond tipped file if you need to make adjustments to the gap, but most are ok.

OEM yama rings are Always oversize in ring gaps .. they never meet the yama specs. No Idea why . That said: OEM rings are a MUCH better choice ... given the opprtunity :-)

Well if that's the case, who do you believe? best to call a two stroke specialist or tuner, and see what they use.

Ring end gap ONLY matters when one buys/fits low quality aftermarket rings... that actually don't seal near as well as oem Yama ones.. under any circumstance Buy Cheap.. buy repeatedly.
