Just prepping my frame for coating and want to check the size of the tab on the headstock for the lock stops
Mine had welds on either side due to it having ace bars fitted, ground it back but just want to check

Hi Steve,
Taken off an N1 frame, 28mm at it's widest point x 12mm Obviously, its not square but that should help..

Anybody???
Just fitted the bearings, yokes, forks and bars and had a look.
It is a euro so has the lock on the headstock. On full right lock the steering lock secures and there is no play so right lock OK.
On the left lock it travels a few mm further but bars still clear of the tank so may be OK.
Can't remember but does the lock on the ignition switch lock to the left and right?
That may be the decider

Just checked 2 frames Steve both rounded slightly on the ends of the frame lugs One was 23mm and the other 24mm Not absolute but think it only locks to the left Matt

Just checked 2 frames Steve both rounded slightly on the ends of the frame lugs One was 23mm and the other 24mm Not absolute but think it only locks to the left Matt If that's at its widest point it makes mine look near enough right I did wonder if it was OK as although I ground the extra bits off the lug was still bigger than the weld onto the headstock It measures 25.5mm. If I ground it right back to what looks like the original tab without the extra welds it would be around the 23/24 like yours. Also bolted an ignition switch on and it indeed does lock to either side Cheers Matt Steve
