Hi all As above I had some work done on my Lc ypvs they told me the carbs had rust in them from tank so thery petseal the tank . Now forward 2 months bikes just not running right looked in tank to my horror it's got flaky plastic floating round (petseal) The tank never leaked just a bit rusty inside so what you do next ? Take the tank back and get them to fix their fu** up. Good luck. Now we can buy decent LC repro tanks, hopefully YPVS ones will be available soon.

....I have in the past used acetone to remove a tank liner, although acetone does not work with por-15, but does work with some of them.

as above take it back and tell them not a problem before so they need to sort it..

Now that would be the worry if they fired another tin of crap in with out cleaning /prepping the tank properly. as Steven said acetone will break the stuff up and make it easier to get out but you need to be care full of the paint .

Thanks for replys Yer I know what you all mean with this anyway I've ordered some por15 tank kit wish me luck as I'm doing it myself !
