got my LC back today recommissioned by Dynatech and got to ride my first 50-odd LC miles in 30 years. I was expecting disappointment after years on big bikes, but it was bloody fantastic. Rides really well, sounds great, big rush at 5k revs and soooo much appreciative attention from folks...a fellow with a 911 at the garage, two sets of folks at traffic lights and all the tyre fitters and other bikers where I went for my bt45's...I don't think the fellow with the panigale was too impressed that my bike got all the attention. So happy to be riding an LC again! They're even better than I remember! Loving it!

I had about 5 "blimey you don't see many of those" and 10 " my brother/dad/I had one of those!" comments. The bloke with the 911 probably spent 20x what my LC cost and his face lit up. I think there is such a lot of affection for lc's whereas people probably think you're aloof and unapproachable on something exotic. My MV usually gets cynical comments about "had much trouble with it?" Or " you must have more money than sense" type comments. Maybe it's a bit of envy or maybe folks just don't have any experience of them like they do lc's. Shame..the rider is a big bike fan and I enjoy any kind of bike.

yes, nice one. I ride to work on mine and get loads of comments. bet no one likes following me though as the smell of two stroke might be to much for some and of course then there is the noise from those spannies.

Thats great to hear..A guy i know restored one to a very high standard a couple of years ago.Got the best job he could on the standard forks and replaced the rear shock with a top of the range one..He had it sold with in a month, said he couldn"t get on with it after having all the latest bikes..I asked him " what the f**k did you expect "

On a similar vein to yours Velocitykid, a couple of years ago I was asked to enter my LC in a "ultimate sportsbikes" night at a local meet, the wee LC was up judging against a new S1000R, a Panigale R and lots of other tricked up modern stuff, to my amazement, the LC scooped first prize, which again shows you how fondly the biking public regard them.... Enjoy your bike mate.

Bought one last winter, never had one in my youth. Took it round the block on delivery and could not believe how quick it was for a 350. Phoned my mate up who has one already and told him someone must have fitted a 750 engine to it. LOL I was smiling from ear to ear its just egging you on to rev through the gears. Smiles per miles.

That surge when you hit the powerband is very addictive. Hard to believe it's only 40 bhp.
