had to have the garage open today for the water board to fix a leak and the girlfriend said i dont like people walking through our garage seeing the lc, wouldnt it be a lot safer being in the spare room in the house seeing your restoring it. i thought i was dreaming but here comes the spare room result. i think she is a keeper!!!!

Careful, mate, it is likely to be a trick! You could easily find yourself in the spare room with the bike. It sounds like permission, but could so easily be a dare!

I have a three storey house, so I really don't want to put my LC in the spare room! She seems happy in the garage anyway!

Great idea in the spare room but once it's finished its a f***k*r to get down the stairs!!!! Nearly had that problem when I was 16. Me and a mate rebuilt a Honda mt5 in his bedroom. The 3 storey houses were built on a hill so his first floor bedroom was beside the front door. We finished the bike then found it wouldn't turn in the small hall from his bedroom to the front door. Luckily he managed to ride it round the living room, down the stairs into the kitchen and out the back door His old man was drunk on a chair in front of the telly and woke up not knowing what the fack was going on. Classic
I like the building of bikes on the top story then can't get the bugger out, now that's planning - not
I knew a bloke that built a massive catamaran in his shed only to discover he had to dismantle the whole shed to get it out, the doors were too narrow, you'd figure he would have thought of that before he started
At least with a bike you can turn the steering and have half a chance
good job I've got two sheds, two bikes in each
BTW the missus has a shed of her own 6m x 4m air conditioned, telly, dvd player, PS3, stereo receiver, insulated, lined, flooring, a bed, PS3 chairs, curtains and fly screens
Its was to stop her art and crap from migrating into every room in the house, did it work...... NO!
Don't think I'd be allowed to move the bikes in there, mind you two of them are hers, let alone the house

There was a telly programme a year or two back where the chap built a kit car in his shed, the shed had to go through the house as did the bits for the car.. then when it was built a crane was hired, road closed by council, trailer craned over house and the car was strapped to that then craned over the house to the road... The things you do..

Mind you this bad boy lived in my kitchen for 2 weeks a few years ago. Only reason it was in the kitchen was it didnt have enough steering lock to get round a tight corner into the lounge. Ex Tommy Hill 2006 Virgin Yamaha

Mates father in law makes the eazy rizer bike lift, many year's ago I got one off him and went round to collect it from his house, in the kitchen he had a mint gsxr1100 in corona colours, with a nice underseat exhaust he had also made, once looking over it he said "do you wanna hear it " to which he fired it up and revved the tits off it .... single at the time I believe.

...whats wrong with keeping them indoors ? where else would you keep them if you dont have central heating in your garage ? and where else would you start them up if its raining outside ? this should be a couple of videos of mine running indoors. steven.
