asking has I have just won a rd125lc of ebay and the chap says it is a mk3 ypvs but he is saying that it is a 1gm frame and engine numbers

mk2 is 1gm mk3 is 2hk uk models, the uk did not get the ypvs engine.also mk1 10w and 12a

mk2 is 1gm mk3 is 2hk uk models, the uk did not get the ypvs engine.also mk1 10w and 12a the uk did get the ypvs engine.. but with power valve blanked off. rd125lc mk3

yes thats what i really meant to say, so really its not ypvs. i have a mk3 2hk with this engine fitted.ypvs blanked off for uk market.

hi yes i saw the bike mate,i did point out to him its not a mk3 ypvs,its a mk2 frame and a mk2 bottom end engine with a mk3 barrel on it.it will have a longer conrod fitted to match the mk3 barrel as i belive it was slightly longer.

Both of my 1GM frames have the ypvs servo lugs in place from the factory, something that surprised me. Mellow mentioned it about his years ago and at the time thought they must have been retro fitted.

I have the bike now and it is a mk2 frame with a mk3 2hk engine in it so it is not marching numbers

hi I know I showing my age now but some uk models did have a power valve but you had to show the dealer a full uk licence in the day but not many were done I mean why bother full licence get the rd350 or bigger I know of two that had the valve fitted in the day
