I see you think becourse he says the motor was out of a 250 your thinking he means LC
You can get 250YPVS just not in the UK so this is what he meens its a ypvs bottom end just a 250 one .
Just so you know you can put a YPVS top end on a LC bottom end ive seen it done just 1 time but it was done . some welding and tapping holls but it was fitted and was a propper LC bottom end and did in deed have a ypvs top end fitted .

If you look carefully you can see that the clutch is from a power valve model.

Hi,...you can also fit 4L1/4L0 barrels strait onto an Aircooled RD bottom end, then use 4L1/4L0 side casings, only "major" thing you have to do is drill a hole through the top right crank case to pass the water pipe that goes to the cyl head. I know this as I bought an LC years ago that had an engine like that in it, I dont know much about aircooled RD,s but from memory the engine number started 1A3 or something like that? im sure I looked it up, and it was an RD 250 ? steven.

As norbo said there is one in the UK
Can't remember if it was on here years ago or on alex''s old forum
Appeared on ebay saying it was a matching numbers lc with ypvs top end.
Forum member bought it and whipped the top end off.
You could see where the original stud holes had been filled and ypvs pattern studs drilled and tapped. Was nicely done

OEB is correct! Full marks Nigel! I reckon its a restamp, hence why I said 'or is it?'
