i have a problem. Sone US citizen mail me, if i sell engine and engine saw on the local marketplace ( this is strange ). i said yes i Will sell for 700 eur and we Will do payment via paypal. Thna he said that, Will engine pick it up his shiping agent, i said ok, i can still post it. Problems were started, when he send me copy of his sending money to my pay pal account of 1030 eur. than i get email from palpal that i get money, but is on hold, because first i must send 230 eur to his shiping agent via Wester union and than i get 1030 on my paypal account. ok i must send MY money ( which i not get it yet ) to shiping agent and he is from China. When i send money via western union, he Will be next day in the morning at my home.
what is strange: -why i must send to shiping agent money via wester union -US citizen and slovenian local marketplace, i think he do not where is slovenia -he do not want to i ship engine to him, and Will be cheaper 70 eur
i think is this fraud, did anyone have the same case like me?

+1 any mention of Western Union is always a con.
There is no reason why as a seller you should have to send money to someone else. If any payment is due it is the responsibility of the buyer.

Never send western union. Easiest way to get scammed
Tell PayPal to refund him, not worth the risk.
Also PayPal would not hold payment pending you sending money to a company nothing to do with them.
Stay clear, too many things to worry about there

Classic scam, you send money to shipping agent, the money the buyer has deposited is not real and gets voided, you end up out of pocket, as said back out of deal, do not send money, and particularly by Weston union.

Kosaprasa, you are a really decent guy. I have had parts off you from eBay. Always high quality parts at a fair price. The parts go to the guys on here at cost price as part of my oil pump work. Don't deal with this con man, walk away. Keep dealing with the decent people only.

thanks a lot to all, i Will walk away, what is here strange too, he call me with secret cell phone number and he said is from US, ok, but he speak worst English than me. I was born in Yugoslavia, in Yugoslavia were 7 diffrent languages, from which you must speak 3 of tham and + english or german or russian. and we have near Hungary and italy, so many languages to hear in live. I have an ear for accents.

That message is definitely not from PayPal. It is from the scammer and is just trying to put pressure on you to go through with the 'deal' and send money that you will never be able to recover. The FBI and Interpol do not get involved in such trivial matters! Ignore all further communications and if you need to do so then sign in to your PayPal account and use the message facility there to report what is happening to you.

Sign in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.com .. do NOT use any links to PayPal from the messages you have received. At the very bottom of your account screen click on the 'Help' button. On the next screen are instructions on how to contact PayPal by telephone or through the messaging system. Use whichever is most convenient for you and REPORT WHAT IS HAPPENING DIRECTLY TO PAYPAL.

Yes classic scam. I was selling a car on auto trader and had messages from: A naval officer out at sea in submarine A marine biologist Someone on an oil rig Surely most of these would have the most sophisticated communication devices possible?? Same kinda messages. Can't get to a phone will send money through PayPal and will get someone to collect, even asking questions about the condition of the bodywork and spare tyre etc to make it sound more genuine. You get a fake email saying you have received money plus over payment to cover shipping charges. You send the extra money to the "shipping agent" Which is actually your own money and bang you've been done. PayPal will always use your name when they contact you. Never enter your password or anything unless you are actually logging in to your PayPal account that you know is safe.

Mail them back telling them you have forwarded all the information to spoof@paypal.com do not under any circumstance send them any money or have any further contact with them and mark all their e-mails as a phishing scam this should stop them from being able to contact you again

Hi Dejan
I too have bought parts off you too
scam, scam scam all day long
You can report it to eBay and PayPal by sending them a copy of the email
They seem quite interested in such scams
I have had the same sort of thing happen too
As said above do not click any link on his email and do not send any money

absolutely a scam. ebay/paypal (and no professional business) would ever use words like 'heartily' in a letter like that, and no way would they force you to pay something, they wouldnt care, its not their deal, they juts move money.

Of course always be from our good old friend ..."FUNDS FOR HER"..... Maybe adopting new tactics..... This is a total scam.... Ignore, or tell him to fu*k off... Not sure if I would get PayPal to refund him... I'd just leave it, and think I would give no reply or communication.....especially if he has put money in your account...
