hi guys going to refurb a pair of lc wheels any advice welcome what to use and where to start ie, do you polish up alloy before painting and what to use ??

I believe it's polish first, especially if you have a machine. I usually do it afterwards, as I still have some 80's 'Loyblocks' so slow and steady for me, depends how corroded they are to start with as well.

thats what i havnt got think i get them bead blasted If you do then it's harder to get rims polished up and you could loose the finish on the out side of the spokes. It's best to clean the wheel up as best as can then polish the rims and outer spokes then mask up with pin stripe masking tape before painting, this is a labour of love and not to be rushed

Sent mine to Wards-came back as good as new- photo on here and photo box somewhere but I still struggling with it. Think both wheels cost £160 plus postage each way but you have to work out price versus hours + Materials.

Use a brush to paint the wheels Wayyyy easier than trying to mask and when the paint has fully cured, indistinguishable from OEM.
