Just stripped the carb on my latest project (ts185) and it's in quite a mess! There's lots of red/browm gooey deposits in the carb and The needle valve is stuck solid, what's the best way to get it out and is paraffin the best bet to clean up the mess? Cheers

Give it a few cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner..... cheers, I haven't got one though, are they worthwhile getting for the odd carb now and again? Or is the best bet to get a small local firm to clean it up?
cheers

I do a full carb service for £40 a pair of carbs, plus postage back, so a single carb would be £20 plus postage back if your interested, done lots of carbs for people on here, so ask about if you want to gauge my service
The carbs are fully stripped, ultrasonically cleaned (in proper carb cleaner) and all circuits and jetting checked, the carb is then rebuilt and set back to factory settings, assuming you have the correct jets, if not then you can either get the correct jets, or get it back set up as best I can with what is there
PM me if interested
