Not sure why you'd do that, pretty sure it's possible to reverse the cylinders on an LC or fit TZ cylinders

I like it need's some work as I think the engine is derty and needs a polish and paint the swing arm looks a bit weedy for the bike . but id love to have this and make it a lot tricker , But have you noticed all these kined of bikes say the same thing needs the carbs looking right as doesn't run correct etc

To be fair it doesn't look badly done It just doesn't look right with that engine in to me, little silver lump sat in the frame, no sexy pipes on show

Poor concept! Just reverse the LC cylinders so the engine fills the hole in the frame.

Can't see how it will ever fuel right with the filters stuck out in the open like that

A little strange for me, as has been said before. Not sure why you'd go to all that trouble for the sake of it being 'a little different', but each to their own I guess. P.S. Just a suggestion, but maybe he should put more time into his spelling and punctuation, rather than typing like a ten year old (sadly a sign of the times, I guess).

All hybrids are nice, and it's good to be different
The rear view of theYamaha logo on the seat is the only detail that spoils this one for me

Hi I read his build article in Practical Sportsbikes (Feb 13) again yesterday. An awful lot of work went into it as he wanted to be able to bolt an original Lc engine back in if he wanted to. He did it coz he had an Lc and a Tzr sat there. Very clever fella, but I agree, the engine looks too small for the frame. Plus he has never had it running right. Shame. Dusty

i dont know why people dont like this bike i think with some time it would be a very nice bike and well trick witha belly pan it would make the tzr motor look better as it would fill in the bottom half . Its just the getting oit running right that made me think twice . no one i have spoken to has ever got the motor to run anything like ok with this done . However this motor was designed to run reverce unlike the other bikes . but the filters up front are just not gowing to work right as the faster you go the more feed in the barbs and the more bufeting air ways you will get .

Moist (Andy) did a nice reverse cylinder Rd in a pv frame, and Dean at Metmachex built a stunning reverse cylinder Lc. And years ago there was a guy called Mark Knibbs ( I think ) who built a reverse Rd125dx. I've got the article in an old PB mag somewhere I wonder if Darrens bike would run better with foam pods rather than the metal capped K&n's, and maybe a fairing would help reduce excessive airflow - but then you hide the fact that it is what it is Dusty

I met with Darren yesterday, he's finishing his last RG500 project, selling up everything and moving away. Shame, he's a nice chap.
I have to say the bike looks really nice in the flesh, certainly a lot better than the pictures.

Its certainly unusual, not really my cup of tea although I do like some touches, but it certainly looks like someone has done a smart job of it .
