Hi Welcome to the forum Dawn. Few guys here have owned or still own aircooleds. Norbo sells aircooled parts through his online shop too. The aircooled forum is great too if you aren't already a member. You will certainly get help here if you ask Regards Dusty

Hi all interested, :-) I am in Fife, Scotland and yes, I'm on the aircooled forum as well. I just took my seat off today. :-( pretty rusty looking under there. I'll get another look at Norbo's stuff, it looks good. Thanks all, Dawn.

Hi dawn good to see you using the bike as it was meant to be and you obviously attached to it. Hope you get the parts you need and get that bike back out on the road where he/she belongsā¦.delete as appropriate! Bet you have some proper roads out your way. Good to see you get your hands dirty too. Good luck.

And here's another picture of my RD. This is about my earliest picture with my friends E in the background. We compared to see whose was the most rusty. We called it a draw. Unfortunately he moved to Canada and sold his bike. :-(
Bungies to hold the seat closed as the lock was broken. Fixed now tho. :-)

OK then, this is the last before picture I'll put up. My RD beside my TZR. Both are pre the work that I'm doing to them just now. The RD is getting a full overhall. It will get a yellow paint job :-) As for the TZR, it's had a bottom end rebuild, I have another tank as this one is VERY rusty inside. So the tank is getting a paint job, the brakes are getting new pistons and seals, new tyres and new chain and sprokets to finish it off.

My normal usage of my RD is my 7 mile commute to work and generally for kicking about. I'm hoping it will look nice and more importantly last a bit longer with-out getting eaten by rust! I will also, as I have done for the last 3 years, display it in my local bike club show! ! ! ! Yup, I'm a proud RD owner no matter what state it's in. . . . . I think some of the guys will be shocked (in a happy way) to see it fixed up. :-)
Dawn.

i must admit i no longer care too much what my bike looks like. i too spray mine in wd40/gt85 and just ride it all year round. i found it too time consuming and stressful having an immaculate and shiny bike.

I swear wd40 has given my bike many more extra years if you dont know the 40 means it took 40 atempts to get the correct mix

Well all, that's my bits off to the painters. . . . . excited. :-) I'm wanting to make the bike look like how I want it to look. So I'm going for Yellow :-) I've got type E decals as I prefer them to the D type. The seat will be a fibreglass one as is the rear mudguard. The rest should be standard. . . . . . I want it finished. . . . . N O W
