I've also posted this in my resto but for anyone who hasn't seen, the oil from my gearbox is a red brown cream colour, having only ever done aircooled's before I'm hoping its just the seal where the water pump goes? Do I whip the barrels off in case it's the head gasket? The engine runs sweet but not had it up to temp, just wanted to strip to check on the clutch. And the tub had all the foreign bodies in prior, only fluid came out.

I would start on the waterpump seal before taking off the head.

you can get that much water from condensation in the cases
Head gasket cant get water in the crankcases as no gearbox oil up there.
Usually if the seal goes the oil is like cottage cheese

So I'll whip the clutch plates out to check and clean it all up and run it till it blows then?
