Nice project. Hope it's not stating the obvious but if you zeroed the km odo it's still going to clock up in km even with a new mph face.

You're right rich. I had mph gearing put in mine. Look up Peter Bond on the inter web and he will convert properly for you. At 100 quid n three points I wasn't taking a chance

Nice project. Hope it's not stating the obvious but if you zeroed the km odo it's still going to clock up in km even with a new mph face. Yes but when the full nut and bolt resto goes live I don't want it starting with 60k, any luck I'll find a MPH speedo near some hens teeth!

She only bloody runs! Borrowed a stator and made good out of the 2 just for testing. Baffles have been cut down so a little noisy. Oil pump all good. Chuffed to bits.

Haha I have the same issue But I think it will end up mars bar Hope you have deep pockets? I'm going to paint it and do the wheels and run it until it blows up, then I'll do the full nut and bolt, it's really nice underneath that horrible paint, very genuine and tidy.

Spent all afternoon sorting the wiring, 2 wires were off for indicators in left hand switch, now soldered on and all working, fitted coil cover, fitted CDI, fitted pattern black handlebars with genuine grips and tie wraps, stripped master cylinder and fitted new banjo cover, new genuine bolts in both switchgear. Fitted battery and box, waiting for battery strap to come next week, fitted new pattern baffles, started 1st kick, sounding sweet. Wheels off to start refurb and bodywork off ready for paint. Awaiting self cancelling indicator switch to come and stator, oh and keys and logbook. Cleaned bits and bobs as I went. Ordered a few genuine nuts and bolts from Granby's to replace what I can see are wrong, only a few mind. Now the brake and clutch lever have been painted black but where they've worn are olive, should they be olive? It's turning out to be way too nice and original to nut and bolt at the moment so definitely just clean and paint until it goes pop.

It seems quite normal for european standards, i have a 650z in very gaudy colours and instead of Kawasaki blah blah its got "The Pleasure Slave" written all over it
