Have always really liked "big country" . But lately I've been listening to lots of their live stuff. They were a real proper band.

Preferred the Skids over Big Country, but Stuart Adamson was a guitar hero of mine. Back in the early days of Big Country I got to meet him at a local gig, he was very humble and totally surprised at how BC were being received. Later he invited myself and a girlfriend to be his guests when they played Sheffield, the Lotus Eaters were support (if you remember them), we had a great day. Seems a long long time ago now, but if I had a Tardis I would go back without hesitation. I was very sad to say the least when he passed away.
Back up to date, the Skids were back touring last year, with part original line-up, without Stuart I didn't really want to go as it was Stuarts style as a guitarist that made the sound, but I went a long and what made my night was to see how chuffed and happy Richard Jobson seemed to be at the reaction they got.

The steady bubbling of fermenting mead. I like the idea of that. i have never tried mead. i am listening to the same sort of noise from 400 litres of scrumpy, which got pressed in the xmas holiday.
