What's the point of going to all that time, effort and money then scrimp on what can be one of the most important parts

I agree Steve, I was mightly pee'd off if I am honest as everything has had to be perfect or as near as can be, so to see this as the end result, I damn near swore !, needless to say he was embrassed and annoyed in equal measures, now I just need him to pay me, its not been a cheap build by any stretch of the imagination !, most of it being parts as my labour rate is way too cheap !

I would make him pay to get it done again. Don't want your name associated with that finish. Know what you mean about hourly rate. Think the couple I have done for other folk worked out way less than a tenner an hour. My paint job better turn out better than that, will know in about a week Steve

he said he is going to get it done again, so I have him provisionally booked in at my painters in November, but we will see, I've told him if anybody asks who built the bike not to say my name until the paintwork is fixed - I don't want to be associated with that paint job that's for sure - what a let down after all of that work........ especially since all I started with was this.........

That paint job is certainly not the best! Apparently though, its a t**t of a job to get those speed block transfers on the Lc tank, but the pro's can do it in their sleep. Each to their own, and all that.
Edit; That's how it should look on the 500, lovely work. A good job just stands out.

OMFG! Thats horrible. The placing of the Yamaha on the right side is a joke, how could the painter be ok with that?!
