Well Summer is almost here and I have been kept busy, but I have made some progress on the build. The seat has reached the point where I can fit it and go for an mot, if only to get a legal ride on the bike ? lol So I booked the bike in for the test tomorrow at 2. Haven't posted a pic as there are very little in the way of visual changes.

Mot passed, bike is taxed and on the road. Just a few tidy ups and adjustments, a coat of paint and it'll be ready to embarrass some bigger "faster" machinery :-)

I remember seeing the bike at Dusty's. It was as new (the usual Dusty standard), but the seat unit looked wrong. Your choice of seat unit is spot on, and also the finishing touches are up to Dusty's standards. High praise indeed
Great work, Regards Mark

Thought I'd post some pictures of the seat base and fixings But also the correct picture of the r6 switches etc Twin horns of course. The seat pad is bonded to a separate sheet of carbon fibre which is moulded to fit the seat unit. It's held in place with quick release fasteners and once removed reveals the standard tank rear mount bolt which also passes through the seat unit forming the front mount. The seat unit has a fibreglass base which fits around the sub frame rails and locates onto a carbon fibre sheet trimmed to sit in a lip formed by the fibreglass base and which is bonded to the sub frame. The rear seat support is formed by a 4mm alloy bracket that extends off the rear of battery tray, this also acts as a mount for the number plate bracket which bolts through the carbon sheet and onto the alloy bracket. Making everything strong and solid at the rear. The seat unit is held to the carbon using a further 6 quick release fasteners. This allows a relative quick solution to getting the seat off for maintenance and filling the two stroke tank The little gap at the back here will be closed up using carbon sheet to finish off.

Like that paintwork a lot. I think I saw the bike at the Ace Café earlier this year, with the seat unit un painted. I might see you there this Sunday Karl if your going. I'll be there early to about mid day.

I like it but is crying out for a chunky swingarm IMO
Also if you get a standard LC horn bracket, you can space the horns apart nicely

Also if you get a standard LC horn bracket, you can space the horns apart nicely A nice ally swingarm would suit it but would have to straight aand not the banana type I think. A twin horn bracket from an lc would be very nice though, I'll look into that, thanks for the input :-)
