I'm no guru on the LC125, the round head is for a Mk3 which had a longer conrod. The 12A engine was a MK1 So, if you have a shorter conrod with a MK3 head and cylinder it wont run properly. Just a thought. I cant help with the carb. Lets hope the guru chaps can help.

the carb is off an 1985/86 DT125LC YPVS, if the barrel is off a DT then it should be ok but presumably would be using the Dt ignition system, but will go like a DT with more low down power and acceleration. If the barrel is off an RD (usually molded 1GU) then you'll need to set the carb up to suit or buy a '1GU' carb to match. The cylinder heads are the same and both molded '34X'
12A bottom end is off a MK1 and as mentioned should have had a longer con-rod installed for round barrel.
what's the frame number? seems like a right mash-up. DT conversions are fun if done properly, but needs YPVS kit to make it worthwhile. I've got all the parts you need and complete running RD motors if you suspect its a money pit.

hi thank you for the info will check barrel to see which one is installed, i have removed the cylinder head and the piston travels to top of the barrel so assume the conrod has been changed, would a 10w carb be ok ?? how much would a complete running engine cost

You need to establish what ignition it's running , although admittedly I don't know what a dt motor would run like with RD ignition timing. DT stators and CDis are quite rare.
If it still uses RD CDI I would fit an RD barrel and carb

hi thank you for taking the time and advice, the bike runs but after it hits the powerband it seems to run out of fuel have you got a mk3 barrel so i dont have to swop con rod plus is a 12a carb good for this
