Deffinately copper99 It's where the keys to the LC's were drawn out of the hat on the Friday to allocate bikes to riders. Just like how they used to do it back in the day

I was there for the race today, will post a video soon. It was wet and a few falls and a very spread out race. Only 6 laps ?. They weren't really suitable for Silverstone, better on a shorter circuit. Did get to buy a pro am T Shirt and saw Mr Mckenzie when I viewed the bikes in pits.

I was there yesterday as well , it was great to see so many LC's on track again after all these years
I think that as mentioned previously Silverstone probably wasn't the best circuit to race them at , especially on road tyres in fully wet conditions
I'd love to see them out in force at some where like Mallory where they won't get "lost" in the vastness of the venue as they did at Silverstone
Having said that i loved every moment of it yesterday , especially the smell of 2 strokes in the air again at a GP

I was at Club stand for the race and took a load of pics. Plenty of excitement and laughs with them all going different directions.. Shame that the big screens were turned off just before the LC race..
Pics up soon.

They are also very sweet and they must have been fast as I can just see RD LC Crazy stickers at the front of the belly pans

Shame that the big screens were turned off just before the LC race.. Pics up soon. different ways? were they all rode by pensioners like us? All the riders were around 50 or above .. they either rode in the Pro-Am years or the last year of LC racing when the grids started to include the 350 YPVS towards the end of the season. I'm friends with a good few of them on Facebook and from the behind-the-scenes photos it was a good laugh all weekend apart from the poorly prepared bikes! The Pro-Am series was well supported by Yamaha in the years when they had full involvement. A brand new 350LC was £1150 list price so compare that with the prize money per round from the time: Photo Copyright Dale Robinson

Niall Mackenzie had no baffles in, thing sounded shit, cackling away on a trailing throttle. He won by a mile though. Up close when I went to the pits the bikes looked OK.

Just like how they used to do it back in the day [/quote] Hi I was lucky enough to be invited to ride in the event. All the riders were allocated a riding number, I was number 5 All the bikes are numbered from 1 to 26 with the number on the bottom of the front mudguard. Then Chris Herring read the rider number & Lynn Jarvis picked your bike key out of the crash Helmet. I got bike number one!!! I had a great time meeting up with my old mates some of which I haven’t seen since 1986. Lots of Pi$$ taking ect. However we were all taking it very seriously as know one wanted to come last! I qualified in Fourth place for the race on Friday. However on the Sunday as you know the weather was a bit grim. Unfortunately I binned in the race going into Vale. One rider binned it on the warm up lap! Good times I hope they run a few more soon & that I am lucky enough to get another call. 10421369_153187325022631_767309849292523435_n by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr 10421413_153176711690359_7476007474508602741_n by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr 11990642_153155225025841_6786006499693802722_n by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr I had a slight problem with the engine on Saturday, saved the crank, cylinder & cylinder head, just needed a piston & head gasket & it was as good a new 11988562_153191505022213_7620632430610441820_n by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr IMG_4069 by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr 11917488_147768882231142_6184475475526456868_n by Johnny Corrin, on Flickr Best regards John Corrin.

Hi Mark, I did meet up with Parv & his son Harry & Spen, had a good time with them. Also a quick chat on the phone with Frushy. Hope hes on the mend. Shame about the weather, as it would have been good fun in the dry as Friday timmed practice was very interesting, I only got 4th but had never been there since 1985 so it had changed a bit & only had 8 laps.
Best regards Johnny C.
