in the top, out the bottom... so you feed cooler water to the engine.

Sorry to butt in, I am fitting a rad from an earlier LC with the cap to one side instead of the YPVS F2 one with the filler cap under the tank. What I need to know is can I blank off the byepass outlet on top of the head ? Unless someone has a better idea ?

What I need to know is can I blank off the byepass outlet on top of the head ? Unless someone has a better idea ? You can blank the bypass off but need to drill a 3mm hole in the thermostat as the replacement bypass. You can drill and tap the spigot then fit a bolt so you can "bleed" air out of the high point. Others have fitted a bolt through spigot to the radiator in the area below the cap to allow it to be held while tightening Hope that helps steve

Hi, I believe that the water flows into the rad at the bottom and out of the top of the rad and then into the top of the engine (cylinder head)and out of the hose at the back of the cylinders.
Cheers

Is it the same on YPVS?
I've got my temp sender on the outlet from the head.. Is that gonna be giving me the temp of the water that's just been cooled as that's not really what you wanna see is it???

Yazza? the hot water exits the head...the temp sender you have will be the hottest temp the water will get (hopefully).
