What should the idle rpm be?? 350 ypvs if it makes any difference.
My freshly build engine has picked up some idle rpm from the last time I started it. Any ideas why?
Also what should I expect when I pull choke? ? RPM increase or decrease, I guess ritch mixture should make the RPM decrease..
Thanks Kostas

The manual says 1,200 +/- 50 r/min but I find this a bit low so I have my LC2 set at 1,500 as it sounds better. What have you had done to the engine as it may be parts are bedding in so increasing rpm. Usually if the engine is warmed up and you pull the choke out it will decrease the rpm.

I had it set to 1500 and today it was up to 2000. Choke behaves as it should.
Engine has had a light hone other than new crank, clutch, seals and gaskets.
Could it be the clutch plates beading in..

Clutch plates shouldn't have any effect on the idle. Double check everything on carbs i.e carb tops screwed down, oil lines connected, vacumn pipe on inside of RH carb going to tap connected, carb clamps tight etc incase of airleak. Also cylinder base nuts are tight.
