Quick question.....
Is it possible to replace the neutral switch on a YPVS 350 engine without draining the gearbox oil or major oil loss whilst doing so ?.
Cheers

Cheers Yes - hardly any oil comes out, and if you lean your bike against a wall on the right handlebar it is easier to do the job and no oil loss at all too.

Cool, ta. Makes you wonder why they leak so much when just one screw area is cracked ?

There must be an oil feed in there to lubricate the selector drum at that end and the oil will be under pressure when the engine is running I suppose. An easy fix though, as is the gear lever shaft seal which can be changed with the bike leant over without any oil loss in just the same way.

Neither oil feed nor pressure. Oil simply seriously thins with Temp.. and the swill subsequently travels everywhere.
