Was thinking that the finish on my refurb switchgear is good but not close to original. I used stickers and clear coat over.
Has anyone ever tried to transfer Letraset Letters on the switch and the paint clear over? Should give a pretty good result, given that the letter is very thin..

Worth a try. Would make sure it does not react to dissolve in the clear coat.
Was the reason I ended up buying nos ones

On their website it states that using polyurethane clear coat it does not affect the letters. I will give this a try as I think it will give a very close to original finish

Certainly try it? I did once to a Favourite Keyboard that I wore out the letters on. Applied Polyurethane clear as cover over the Bits of Letraset (where would you even get that stuff these days, It's been extinct for years, has it not?) figuring it would be a tough coating. Wore off within a week. G'luck.

you hit the keys a lot more than you you would switchgear words, I reckon you might well be ok with it if you do it, will be fiddly tho to get it lined up, Letraset was always thus LOL
