Im still sorting the wiring out on the hybrid and found a connector half way down the loom, it has 5 terminals as seen in the crap pic below: Is it for the self cancelling unit? if so can I run without it? the Haynes manual has me all confused (I hate electrics!) Cheers Mike

hi
yes it is for self canceling unit and you can run without it, but at flasher relay you must change wires. i thing is yellow/green or yellow/black put in to black one and trun signals/flashers Will work normaly, but that you Will turn of flashers manual.

Hey Mike, do you want a self cancel unit? OEB Hi, I have recently purchased a German LC2 which doesn't have the self cancelling indicators like my old LC, can I install the self cancel module or does it require changing other items like the clocks etc as I recall the indicators cancel manually or by either time or distance? Thanks Ian.

Looking at the parts list for the German and UK spec LC2 it looks like they both share the same part numbers for the clock harness that contains the Reed switch for the self cancelling indicators so you souldn't have to change the clocks. You can double check by seeing if you have a White/Green wire in the headlamp shell coming from the clock harness. Also if you spin the front wheel you should here a faint "Clicking" noise coming from the clocks as this is the reed switch working. Tone

Tone Thanks Tone, will have a check when I can get in the garage, I am sure I have since a reed switch in the clocks when I swapped the clock from KPH to MPH. Would you know if its a case of swapping the fitted flasher unit or is an additional module that fits into an unused block connector on the loom. Thanks Ian.
