We have been chasing this deal for some time now and we are finally going to look after one of these beauties. Piaggio Aerospace Avanti Evo. Unique design, 2 push turboprop engines at 850hp each, cruise speed above 700 kph, price tag 7.5 millions Now I'm off to Italy for 3 weeks to learn how to take care of it. Kostas

Nice lookin' aircraft, but the total wing area looks tiny!

Ahh .. but look at the wing profile, not the area. Lots of lift in those! And modern composites make it all possible.

Funny looking Piaggio that. I was expecting something on casters.

Nice lookin' aircraft, but the total wing area looks tiny! You are right, small wing it is. But it has two as the one on the nose is a wing as well, it also generates a massive amount of lift due to the cabin shape. All made from ally, engine panels and minor parts are composite. Kostas

So where is the c of g? In between the fwd and aft wing? Should be closer to the aft wing but I don't know this yet. I know all the fuel goes on wing and in the tail section, all pax and cargo in frond. Look how much aft the wing is fitted!!
