Can any one tell me what the max oversize pistons can be run in the tzr250 please. At present its on 1.25 oversize. Just working out how many reforest are left. Many thanks

I would suggest you talk to Grampian motors in Liverpool. They stock all Mitaka pistons and also can advise on the use of alternative pistons if you need a piston size that is bigger than the standard sizes available for your model (if that makes sense).

Hello youcan get pistons from grampians up to 2.5mm i know of someone racing a tzr250 with 2mm oversize without any problems dont forget to remove some off the power valves or they will hit the pistons

Had mine taken out to 282cc by resleeving and fitting DT125R pistons , cost a fortune for not a lot of gain .

2.75 is the max overbore, not that easy to find the pistons though. Loads left in those barrels, as well as relieving the powervalves anything over 1.5 mm will need the head gasket opening up to match the bore

Many thanks, now looking at a ypm race tzr and its on .50 so plenty of rebores left in the bank then....
