What is it about lc's , ypvs etc why are they so much fun , make you feel young again , make you a hooligan again , make you smile , make you cry , from when I first got my rd125 mk2 I knew I'd always have one or several rd's ,if I haven't got one I'm lost , very strange

Its that smell of two stroke which reminds me of truely having my independence with usable speed, no matter how much you tuned your fizzy 50/55mph was about all it was good for and not really any good two up !!

because back in the day they were quite simply the most fun bike you could ride and nothing has changed in the last 30 years

Its because you could ride them to the limit everywhere and get away with it, usually. But try riding like that on a modern bike and you just cant do it.

It"s like sticking two fingers up to all the bureaucratic bullsh#it,red tape, environmental and health and safety none sense that is being rammed down our throats everyday!! Two strokes are all you need!!(mind you the wife would want a few more!!!)

they are small light and you don't have to go 160mph to have fun wether you trucking about on the back roads or racing they allways put a smile on your face . #

Do you remember the very first time you saw one, heard and smelled it at tickover, saw the first wheelie of one. Heard one being banded, and thought 'gotta have one'. Hooked. I've never come across a modern bike that comes close. A 675 is as close as it gets and it's not even halfway there. It's also about the time, the bike scene at the time and what these bikes meant to us then.

You've all just about covered it above , they are still one of the best fun and best looking bikes ever made. Roll on the spring.
