Evening everyone, I have a fully original 1984 RD350YPVS 31K. I bought it about 6 years ago as my "Retirement Project" but unfortunately need the space & cash so regrettably need to sell . It is a runner & was MOT'd about 3 years ago but could do with a full restoration which was my plan when I bought it. All numbers match. Any rough ideas on what its worth? Thanks, Andy

Id say good condition considering its a 30 year old bike, a couple of tabs snapped on tail piece & a side panel etc. A couple of small dents in the tank. I think its 4 owners & has been local to me all its life, I know the guy who originally bought it. Everything is original, as I say this was to be my project, a good solid bike that just needed restoration due to its age & no issues! If its not worth much I'll just have to keep it!

Condition is subjective .. once you get pics up you will get an answer to your question but without photos you'll either get wild guesses or silence lol

I think if you really want to get a good price you would do 5mins of google searching on here and on ebay and work out that its either 1.5k or 15k and then go from there, but if you dont want the hassle then just gift it perhaps? You will need pics to sell it so put em up in the ad.

jonw, now I've got my 25 posts on the forum I can see the price of bikes on here! I guess £1200ish! Will get photos once I get home & get it posted on here! Searching Google gives you eBay prices & I don't want to deal with them! Personal preference, but I would rather deal with people who are enthusiasts rather than tire kickers & people who just want to see if there is anything worth stealing in your garage!

Sorry for taking so long to update this
Got bogged down with travel delays, Christmas, my daughters birthday, a week away & then back away to work!
I only had a spare hour last time home & only managed a few iphone photos in my garage, it was chucking it down outside!
I'll be putting the bike on eBay in about a weeks time once I'm home & have some proper photos! I'll let you know once it's on.
Andy
Photos on photobucket but not sure how to upload them.

That'll probably make, much more than £1200, looks good in the pics, but there's a hell of a lot of work to restore it, looks to have had a repaint already, and the frames been done too, hand painted in places (or that's how it looks) ?? do you know the history??

I know the guy who bought it brand new & it's been local ish since. Paint is original I think just poor photos & needs a good clean. My plan was to get the frame powder coated & a re-spray but need the cash & space in the garage!

That's a decent looking starting point for sure, plenty of original stuff still on it but yes a lot of money needs spending to get it restored to a good standard, it should fetch anywhere between your initial £1200 and £2000, you can never tell what they'll fetch in the end though, good luck with the sale, or keep it, its value will only increase as long as its not left outside to rust away.
