I was thinking I would fit a 520 to my new LC build and while i know the front sprocket is easy, is there a 520 rear sprocket for the LC wheel?
If i did need to keep 530, what length would i get for the LC?

Which back wheel are you using, 250 or 350LC? The sprockets are different.

B and C Express should be able to help. Probably not listed on their website but I know this is where others have purchased from. OEB

I have a 520 set up on my LC, can't remember where I got the rear sprocket from but for the front sprocket I had to use the YPVS sprocket spacer and machine it down a couple of millimeters to get the chain alignment correct, you can't use the standar LC one the alignment is way out

Front sprocket is easy peasy. Getting a decent Rear sprocket in 520.. not so much. Norbo has it sorted :-) Do fit a quality 'small' 520 O ring chain tho NO caterpillar track like regular O rings. I initially fitted an RK non oring 520... Yama dealer Parts Twit recomendation. Effing thing lasted (almost) one summer. Utter Crap. DID Enduro 'racing' chain is what I finally used. Only marginally larger than a Non O ring chain.. very nice. And with massive tensile strength.. as if it's needed on a geriatric 2 stroke engine. But good quality is always reassuring.

Thats what Im thinking Dunc, hence im going 530 now. Initially I was thinking it was an overspec'd chain size for the tiny output of the LC, but really its easier to just go with the flow, Ive not got a 530 chain and just need the sprox.

I've have just gone the 520 route for mine(racing). Ordered chain & sprockets - 14 & 15T front 39 & 41T rear - from The Chain Gang in Qld.
I have a 18T 530 sprocket that I am going to have turned down to a 1/8" spacer that I will put between the sprocket and pressure/retaining washer. At the moment, the 520 is too narrow for the countershaft nut to do up with tension on the retaining washer.
And the rear wheel sprockets came in blue! very sexy with the grey wheels and black cush drive /brake plate. Either that or just plain ugly. Your choice.
No drama in getting the parts, just it took about 2 weeks from the day I ordered them, not 1 week like he intimated over the phone.

I found that a local Hardware shop carried Large washers of 1/8" thickness and perfect output shaft hole size. ~1$ Sometimes answers are easy, but often overlooked. Give thoughts as to Ali rear sprockets (IF your coloured ones are in fact of Beer can material?). Although some swear by ali types, I only swear at them, as they have proven to dissolve altogether too easily in my hands.

I'd hate to have a washer flog out the spline and make changing sprockets a pita with major issues later. I had the option of aluminium sprockets but steel will last longer and there isn't that much difference in weight. I can loose that much in a week by going to the gym. I don't go to the gym.

Cant you just run the YPVS spacer instead?

No wasn't suitable on mine. The hardware store washer on the outside of the sprocket proved the perfect solution. Look at the wee avatar photo. Washer is quite large, reaching almost to the chain. It's been in use for 5 years, with NO problems whatsoever. Washers are of soft steel they are too soft to damage anything. Needless worries IMO
Must say that finding a suitable spacer had me worried there, for a while.. before I tripped over the washer.

Cant you just run the YPVS spacer instead? There is a spacer? From an RZ eh? The cut down sprocket hasn't been given a test yet. The thing's ignition failed before I even got out of the pits. Not happy, Jan. However, it went on and I wont worry about the spline, 'cause it fits. Bare, how much space between the inner diamter of the washer and the lands of the spline. Correct to assume that they aren't in any sort of contact? I suppose you could buy 100 or more washers for the cost of turning down a sprocket. Stick up a photo?

You can use a clutch washer to make up the thickness...perfect fit too! I have now moved mine to inside the front sprocket to get a little extra clearance with a slightly wider 130 rear tyre on a TZR125 4FL rear wheel.
