Morning all Can one use paint remover on LC plastics that have a million coats of paint?

I have done before, just brushed it on till the paint started to show on the brush, and then quickly washed off. If it stays on too long it 'will' melt the plastic, saying that todays paint stripper has a hard job melting paint, unless you have some good stuff?? new Nitromors is pants.

try a walnut shell blast, a bit like a sand blast but much much gentler, soda blast may work too
Check with the operator

Use old brake fluid and just leave it on for a few days. Will take off the paint and not touch the plastic.

I have used fairy power spray on a tailpiece off a 250E aircooled. Lots of coats of old paint, probably cellulose rattle can. Spay piece with fairy power spray, then seal it in a plastic bag for a couple of days, then CAREFULLY scrap off.

there are some youtube vids of fairy power spray stripping paint.new formula paint strippers are not much good,and like some one has already said it will attack the plastic.
