1) Put a YPVS engine in it, or
2) Buy a more powerful bike.

Cheapest option is a set of kennys pipes but you will get the most out of fitting a ypvs motor.

Porting, zeeltronic, TSA pipes will get from from below 40hp to over 50hp.
28mm PWK carbs are worth upto another 2hp.
All the above on a YPVS engine will be another 10hp over the 4L0 engine.

so the pv motor is the best option then a big bore stroker kit?
as it stands ive got allspeeds, 31k carbs, reed spacer,
was looking for a bolt on option as my motor is just touching 13k , so low miles for its age!

get a ypvs motor take your lc motor out wrap it up and put it in your shed attic ect.then just have a look on the various big bore threads and see how much you want to spend.oh don't get me wrong I do like this sort of stuff ,but I decided not to go down this road with my tzr350 .hmmmm 2,500 grand may be .no.ah I may be short by a grand and half.they look nice as in tzr bigbores saw one on the iom nice looking machine.

If you were going big bore stroker you would still need a ypvs bottom end to fit it on.
Your allspeeds and carbs will go straight on. All you would need was either a pv controller, cdi and stator or better just to get a full zeel

I would not bother too much, once you start trying to make them go better you tend to get carried away!

^^^ i would think that the majority of the above comes from the pipes and ignition upgrades. but it all adds up to a nice 50% increase from a sub 40 base line. good luck and be sure to post whatever you do. mark

running on pump, I do the mod on the carbs and sorted Mick's for him, his and mine are both 57bhp after developing the ignition map for the 4L0 which doesn't seem to exist, or if it does, no one is prepared to share it that's for sure !
Between us we have done approx 2000 miles on these motor's with no issues, I developed a "bolt on approach/solution" that I can repeat easily to get the bhp figures stated, alot of my work is actually on here in threads
That's on a stock motor as well, no porting, skimming of heads etc, etc, if you PM me I'll be happy to give you the outline of what has been done

I used it for vacuum for the fuel tap but sure you could use for oil. Steve
