Having an agricultrual interest and the week of work I made a trip over the the annual Brailsford ploughing match at Quarndon near Derby.
Having a look around the trade stands and parked right up by the main enterance was an LC. Went for a closer look , it was a White /blue strip 250lc . It had 4l1 crankcases , all the normal 250 brakes , rear hub etc, but had a KM speedo. It had a Y plate on the number plate. It also had different suffix on the standard exhausts , could have been 4L3 or something.
Hello to whoever bike it is , if its anyone who reads this forum .
Thought I was the only who would have an interest in a ploughing match!
Must add sorry we went in the car.

Ploughing just like any other hobby or pastimes there is a whole bunch of followers all around the world. At the Brailsford match I went to there was around 100 tractors , of them maybe 20 modern, 20 classic , the rest vintage going back to 1940's models . There was also 6 turnouts of horses ploughing which is always a sight to see . You get awarded points for each part of the plot of land you plough , most points going to how you set out the start and finish. Some of the guys are local farmers entering for a good day out , some as with any sport are alomost full time world champions , indeed you can aquire world championship points at this match to plough in the World matches. Sure I can find a few pictures if you really want.
There was also a hedgelaying compatition. Where guys cut down the tall hedges using the same branches , cutting through just enough to fold over , but not break .
Any LC rider should make a good hedgecutter! As we used to be good at throwing are bikes down the road into a length of hedge!
As for tractor pulling, yes thats the worlds most powerful motorsport . I have been to a few tractor pulls over the time , some local with farmers tractors , but also the the British championship. I like to watch the superstock classes , have to be based on a farm tractor but can have up to 3 turbos running on either diesel or methonal, using a stock 6 or 7 litrs block they can squeeze more than 2000 hp out of them.
Also you can have a modified class , thats space frame chassis with Merlin or tank engines on , some have big block Chevys . The can have up 5 engines on one tractor!
Nobodys come forward as the owner of the bike yet then?
