Just wondered how to turn the fuel tap off? The vacuum doesn't seem to make any difference and have just rebuilt it..

When I rebuilt mine, the tap always "dripped" but then went into full flow when the vacuum is applied, always wondered whether this was a problem or not? bike seems fine though so left it like that

there isn't an off position , just on, prime and reserve . the fuel shouldn't flow in the on position until you fire the bike up.

Hmm. Makes no difference where it's positioned it just pisses fuel out and have just fitted rebuild kit too.

Did you refit the spring between the diaphragm and the removable plate of the tap?

Had same problem even after fitting rebuild kit. I pulled the spring slightly assuming it had compressed over time. Problem solved.

Fixed there was some debris that got stuck on the o ring seat inside. Cleaned off and taps working a treat
