Hi,
I watched some of the Goodwood revival yesterday online, I only found out yesterday, that there was live coverage online all weekend, looked like a great weekend with old cars, bikes, planes, etc and the two Lancasters Vera and Thumper were there with their fighter escotrs.
There is an hour long highlights programme on at 9pm on ITV4 on Wed 24th Sept.

Hi Brownsauce, Yes indeed it does look a great weekend. I think Jeremy Clarkston said... where else can you turn up in your classic car/bike and have spitfires and huricanes landing beside you. Steve Parish said...Cars, bikes, planes, champagne and girls From what I read, if you dont dress up in period costume you look out of place and I beleive it is actively encouraged. They even had a mock battle/punch up with mods rockers and the polis, Iv trawled the internet and looked at loads of the photos and videos and some of the girlies are indeed very easy on the eye in their period costumes, and the bikes cars and planes look stunning. Carole Vorderma was crying when Vera and Thumper went over, I read that she is doing a solo round the world flight in an aeroplane next year, and she is right into aeroplanes. From what I read, she is instrument rated to fly an aeroplane as opposed to just VFR (visual flight rules) so if you smeared dog shit all over the c**k pit windows, she would still be able to fly in on instruments alone !.......dont know where the dog shit thing came from, but you know what I mean, lol. I think if I went i,d want to dress up as either a spitfire pilot or a rocker, There are prizes for the best dressed folk too. Theres a couple of links to the Barry Sheene Memorial races, if you watch the end of the second one, there is something that ALL of us should watch, as on the start finish line a bike seizes and locks the back wheel up, you see the puff of smoke, and it gives a wee wiggle as he yanks the clutch in just on time.....they catch it on slow motion too, great to watch. steven.
