Hi to everyone
I recently purchased a restored RD 350 LC (4LO) that has only covered about 30 miles since restoration.
I have noticed when the ignition is on and the slightest touch to the front brake lever the headlight flashes! Obviously this could be quite dangerous as when heading towards a junction and the brakes are applied other road uses made think I am flashing them to pull out etc.
I have had most of the wiring loom (which looks new) out checking for breakages, bad earth, cleaning contacts, etc, etc but the problem still persists. ANY IDEAS??
Another irritating problem is trying the get the bike in neutral when I pull up at the lights. It seems to be very tricky. It will either go straight into first or lift up to second. with the slightest of movement neutral can be found. I spoke to a dealer who I bought the bike from. He assures me that because the engine and gearbox has been freshly rebuilt it will take a few miles for things to bed in. ANY SUGGESTIONS??
Thanks
Alex

Put your location on your profile too, as there maybe someone local to you who can have a look for you.

Headlight sounds like someone has connected a wire up wrong inside the headlight shell. I'd be checking the front brakelight wires first. Neutral problem could be as simple as clutch adjustment or wrong type of gearbox oil causing drag. It may also have the damper rings fitted which doesn't help.

Just take it back to the dealers. As said before it won't get better. There are quite a few parts in the clutch that can cause this, and most require the messy clutch case off.

Selecting neutral does sounds like just a small ajustment ,,where the clutch just needs to grab more to select neutral
