So I need some new petrol pipe but everything I see 6mm ID has a huge OD. Stuff I have on at the moment had a nice small OD. Where can I get this type? I think I originally bought it from Yam when I was young and stupid with money to burn

You could try fleabay and search for nitrile pipe, but I'd probably go for the above Tygon stuff is supposed to be good as well, but it's a bit harder to get hold of, RC model cars etc, use it a lot.

I use the ariete pipe now, its as good as anything out there at the moment and has a nice size to it, not cheap, but better than other stuff I've tried and I have tried them all ! - Tygon is good as well, but only mamnaged to get hold of a small amount and that's been used a long time back now

Tygon is available in 2 sizes from decent RC hobby outlets. You can buy it off the roll by the metre. It won't be effected by the ethanol at all. Unfortunately, even the larger sizer isn't big enough for petrol supply pipes but it's great for overflows and oil feeds etc.
Bizarrely, it was originally developed as an insulator for fibre optic cable that was to be laid under the sea...

I originally bought it from Yam when I was young and stupid with money to burn You'll be surprised how cheap it is. 1.5 metres x 8mm O/D x 5mm I/D = £4.50 (ish) OEB

I've used tygon for the pipes after the T piece on my valve, and for the power jet pipes where it gives a quick 'n' easy fuel level check. Been on 2 yrs & still good. I tried it on the tap - T piece section but it kinks really easily, didn't use it on oil tank-pump for the same reason.

The stuff I have on the bike is not really a flexible rubber. It reminds me of more of a nylon type of material but with more flex. After all these years it's only split a bit where it's pushed onto the tap. The rest of the pipe is not degraded.
