Quality, at that point I'd just be looking to part company with the bike before it started bouncing

That's the difference between a job and a hobby.
His job/skill (and what a skill it is he's proved) is to get.a bike round a track as quick as possible.
I doubt he gives a toss about that bike, in fact i bet he hates it.
I personally can make the distinction between man and machine.
I love my LC, and know my riding ability, so never push it to the point I'd be disappointed long term.

Yeah, when I ride, all I'm thinking is, I do not wanna drop this bike, cause for the rest of my life I will be kicking myself. Injuries take a secondary thought. We can heal. Bikes don't. I have had a big off before. 6 months in hospital and 6 months in a rehab centre learning to walk again, but I'd still be more gutted if the FII went down the road.

f**k that, if I walk away I wouldn't care less after I established the bike was irreparable, its just a bike and I'd make a better one.

I'm with you guys, I spent 4 years rebuilding a mk2 escort rs2000 it was mint after only 6 weeks on the road I'd stopped in traffic when a sprinter van ran up the back of me at about 50mph , the car was scrap sortend the back by about 2foot,bent the roof most of the glass was gone and the front was wrecked were i hit the car in front. I got out with a broken wrist and a sore back, I'm sure it could have been alot worse. The car was a wright of and sold for spairs. I gave up on classic cars and bought a bike.
