So i bought a mito about a year ago with the intention of building a 350 Yamito with it Btw I started a thread on it a while ago , but can't find it .... So after messing about with it I thought it was too good to strip and convert Mito stuff was cheap on eBay then ,£50 for a frame shock swing arm and subframe with V5 So I slashed the pennies on that I started milling up some mounts , I'd seem yordi's ones ( mito350.tk ) but decided to make my own , I didn't want to weld mine in either , so after a couple of iterations I had this Individual bits laid out The rear assembly Bolted in When it came to the cosmetics , I stripped the paint and polished stuff A pair of duc 748 forks fitted , after modding the yokes Faring brackets next Going to use a race faring Electrics tray fitted Fast forward to today It's off on Sunday to get pipes fitted , a set of Martin jonhnstones pipes , just need a bit of trimming and welding to fit Mike

Those ducati forks look good . How difficult was it to get them to fit ? , and do you plan on running the standard Mito 1 disk , or are you going to convert it to two disks up front ? Mike .

The 748 forks were quite easy to fit ,just bore out the top yoke out to 53 mm ,and a 1mm thick shim for the bottom yoke Not using the speedo drive so a spacer to replace it I have the whole Ducati front end , so might try the wheel in there to get the twin discs as I think it might need it Thing is I don't like the look of the 748 wheel ,and it's heavy .
There's apparently some 916 forks that fit straight into the mito yokes The other thing to do is fit the Ducati yokes , but on the yokes I have the steelers cast in situ ( by the look of it ) so pressing it out looks like it will destroy the yoke It will evolve if I like it

Tonight I got a full evening in the garage , but most of the bike is up at windy edge So it's polishing time The manky battery acid stained 748 duc front end is first up , forks given a wash and clean , then polished with some CARLUBE car polish The modded mito yokes were de anodised by sand blasting then polished up with a course mop and brown soap mounted in the lathe I milled the top yoke a few days ago to mito SP spec Polished up the wheel spacers and machined some bolts for it , they got a bit of a polish too Last week I re-did my electrics tray (saving 63grams in the process) so that got a rub up too , going for the brushed effect with this Black snot ahoy Onwards to hankies Mike

Yup slightly disappointing , but it's grunty and fun to ride , and I know what else to do to get more from it
Mick showed me some other charts from bikes he's dyno'd it looks good in comparison to some of them so not too shabby
It was very easy to ride round Cadwell tho , gearing spot on too
Btw Cadwell is a fantastic circuit , nice place too , highly recomended

Is it pretty standard apart from the pipes? I'm sure there's plenty you can do

Most of the work so far was on drivability It peaks at 9200 But it's running an f2 cdi , needs a 31k one or even a programable one It's had a bit of porting , TDR reed cages and p/v's locked open Stock head and gaskets , not shure what the squish is , probably in the 2mm region So with all that to play with 65 rwhp should be do-able

Hello , 53hp is the same as my 350 Mito , Mines got modded Micron GP pipes on it and ramair pods .It's also got a 31k engine and matching CDI , but I think that this only gives another 500rpm , so not a massive diference. From what I heard from other people , Martins pipes are very good and I'd of thought that they would have given you a bit more hp . Althought , every Dyno seems to give different readings . I'm following this thread , as I'd be interested to see if you make any other engine mods , and what difference they make . 53hp is not too shabby , just about the best fun I've ever had on a bike was a couple of years ago when Classic bike trackdays were at Donington , as it's a fast flowing track my Mito was flying. You bike is looking good , and good luck with whatever other mods you do. Mike .
