I don't know why but my lc does nothing for me with its 3 spoke KR1S wheels on it so choices available to me are as follow: Fit an lc swingarm, 4lo wheels, go back to a drum back brake and 18" wheels. Fit spoke wheels. Shut up and leave it alone. Anyone got an opinion? Andy

What about fitting the 5 spoke KR1s wheels ?.
IMHO they look miles better on an LC than the 3 spokes and I woulda thought a fairly easy swap (if not straight in) ?.

Paint your current wheels white instead of black. I am just putting some in mine and pearl white looks quite good :-)

Hi, Looks like you have Kr1 wheels with Kr1s discs, calipers and forks. The forks are gonna be stronger than standard Lc, the brakes are gonna be a lot better too. I actually like the 3 spoke Kr1 wheels better than Yam 3 spokes, personal opinion I know, and you don't see many Lc's with that combo, a fair bit of work and money has obviously gone into that conversion. If it was me I would keep it as it is. Spoked wheels always look lovely on Lc's, but aren't cheap to do . If you do go with white wheels, as mentioned by 4l04ever, they would look like these; Dusty

Front wheel goes in the back but looks a bit spindly IMHO Change of bearings , a brembo or grimeca Cush drive , think it's a Honda rs125 one , and some spacers and a caliper carrier
Easy peasy

Andy, I hope you don't get a parking ticket in front of those gates . While the original setup was good for its time, I would say you have an improvement there overall. The unsprung mass of LC components may look right, but can be improved with more modern stuff.

I think it looks great as it is. Standard LCs are ok for looking at but when it comes to riding, uprated modern components are much better!

I recently had a crazy idea to graft wider rims from another wheel onto a spare set of std LC wheels I have! Now don't go off the deep end, 'coz the local guys we have over here have the engineering skills to put a helicopter engine into a bespoke bike frame for the land speed record by Zeff Eisenberg - so I'm going to open discussion with them for setting up a special JIG and using their CNC machine. Cost will probably be prohibitive, but I ain't just gone out and purchased the latest 1200cc uber-depreciating money-bucket - so I reckon it's probably worth some investigation. What would people be prepared to pay for 3.5 inch rims on std LC spokes ............. anyone? :-) Keep watching the Wanted section for an ad requesting bent/buckled rims sometime soon ........ lol. Well, I for one ain't going to question your engineering credentials. I do like the idea of LC wheels with wider rims. 17" to gain access to a range of great tyres... ?

Remember Watching some TV with Jay Leno Riding HIS Heli Turbine equipped Bike. Said it wasn't much for acceleration But great for Top speeds If nuts enough. Best attribute for him (his claim) was the super hot exhaust was ideal for melting the plastic front bumper of cars that got too close at stoplights.
