drill a hole reed block side of the carb and put a 90 bend spigot in like this: Ah so the oil is just pumped in after the slide on any carb? Guess I'd have to drill and tap it if it's not made for autolube. Simple enough then! Just one either side?

just drill the hole into the carb body, make it a slignt interference fit then tap the oil injectors in, they won't protude into the carb so don't worry about that, an alternative is to drill the reed block body and fit the oil injector onto that, but that's a little more tricky and needs to be done in the right place if your not sure send me the carbs and I'll do them for you for the price of a couple of pints

I agree, but this was simply showing the difference bewteen a standard Mikuni being fitted to an LC against the PWK which is a very popular choice/upgrade, as with all things, you can test all kinds of combinations and if you or others would be prepared to offer up some money and parts to test on your behalf then I'd be more than happy to do as many tests and combinations as you could throw at me - considering how much data/info I have shared on this forum in respect of what does and doesn't work etc, is already a large amount of info, but more can always be done
But since I am doing this off my own back and out of my own pocket, except when people like Mick and Andy plus a few others bring their bikes to me for upgrades, tweaking etc and are already going down the road of making these mod's etc, then the fact that I am prepared to share this info should be appreciated for what it is.
I'd be interested to see data/dyno charts etc that the TMX30 is the best possible carb for an RD/RZ - can you share the dyno graphs etc and also the spec of the bikes engines etc, I am always happy to learn and anything that is backed with real data is always a welcome.
If not, send me some TMX30 carbs and I'll test them, would be interesting to see how they perform over the whole rev range, would you lose bottom end for top end gains etc ?

They do, although with some effort since the bell mouth has a diameter of 50mm instead of the stock 43mm.Some heat helps.

If not, send me some TMX30 carbs and I'll test them, would be interesting to see how they perform over the whole rev range, would you lose bottom end for top end gains etc ? I don't have that hard data, my claim was pretentious, it's based on my own testing and testimonial from a few German forumers, I got a 30mm venturi size from a 2 stroke calculator based on the RD port maps and power etc and then looked around for a carb that would have similar dimensions to fit the existing manifolds and with the latest technology and the TMX series from Mikuni was the obvious choice. There's also a very positive feedback about it on a Martin Kieltsch tuning manual publication dedicated to the RD350. The only down side is the cost, 170€ a pop, but it's a brand part with high quality and available hardware. The 2 TMX together weight less than a single stock. But yes you're right, I shouldn't have said the best possible without hard data to back it up.
