This might be a daft question, but can i replace the temp sender on my 4L0 without draining any fluids?
The manual and parts list I have doesn't even show it.
Thanks in advance. Shaun

As long as the system is not pressurised I can't see it being a problem? You might have fluid running out due to gravity but if you do it quick and top up I think it should be ok? Surely someone will tell me if I a, wrong!

Steve is right, as long as the system is cool you will get a small dribble of coolant but do it quickly it's not a problem.

Thanks fellas. I've ordered one of those land rover ones that people have mentioned, at a fraction of the cost of the yamaha one. Hopefully will arrive in next few days and looks an easy job to fit if i don't have to drain the fluids, I don't want coolant all over my lounge carpet!
