..... i'm probably only 20% into my rebuild and tonight I found myself ultrasonically cleaning and polishing old washers that probably cost 5 pence! Where did it all go wrong?

Its a curse I tell you....My missus said just last week, come October and the riding season finished, when I owned just the 4 strokes, she got "me" back.
Now with the LC, the season just continues all year round, it just transfers to the garage with the "old mans middle aged bike"...

always clean them out with some bleach. I'm not putting bleach anywhere near the carbs ............................... ! I have found the application of a little of the usual toothpaste and a gentle scrubbing action up and down, side to side, on Debs teeth brings the brush back to life again and removes those aluminum scuffs from the bristles quite nicely.

Iv'e spent part of my day deep cleaning the bathroom while he was fiddling with the gremlins (as I now call them) The Bathroom now looks wonderful after using a specialist tool. The tool looks like new now Ive given it a good swill and straightened the bristles. Hee heee Deb (Thumpers wife) Ps He shouldn't leave this forum open on the laptop!!

Debs folks and brother live in Lancs, Blackpool and Newton with Scales, maybe we will all meet one day, maybe not but one things for sure, I aint using your toothbrush, I have a nut alergy but only for tagnuts yuk I mean a fella's tooth brush ! Your Mrs and Mine have a mean streak, I mean we use the brush out of need and desperation and love (ok for the LC) but they are just sadistic.... Thank God my secret regarding making the ruber componants like new is safe, if she found out about the lip gloss.............I bought her some lovely under wear at chrismas, the expensive type with the comfort gusset...just right for filtering fuel and seeing if contaminants are present... thank god for bold 3 and the Ultrasonic bath......
Whilst on the Ulrasonic bath, I bought a 6 ltr one off a member here, its amazing, and to be fair a vast improvement on the washing up bowl and cleaning fluid, it was only a matter of time before Deb caught me with her rabbit........

Just recently found out how useful household appliances are for cleaning bike parts. Last week cleaned some parts in the dishwasher. Nearly got caught out. She got home before me. She didn't unload the dishwasher, luckily. They came out great. Few days ago did my wiring loom. Results were OK on a 40 wash. Should have done it on a 90 got rid of the grease and oil off the connector blocks.
