I've stripped out the shock from my RD250LC 4L1 and note its marked 4L0-00. The black one in pics below. I have bought another with a group of parts I bought but note the shock is marked 4L0-10. White one below. Does anyone know the difference? Thanks Shaun

The 4L0-00 shocks were fitted to the 1980 model, 4L0-10 to 81-82.
Only difference I can see is the amount of spring coils.

The spring rate was different/higher on the later shock. The spring was still black with a blue paint splash.
